Okay just have to comment. I stumbled on your blog in one of my random clickings and started to read and found myself smiling. We have so much in common, albeit in a roundabout way. I too have a son who spent 3 years pursuing what he thought was a career path in web design, with an added computer programming in there. After feeling burned out on computers he joined the military - Air Force however. Doesn't want to fly planes (or helicopters) so here the similarity between my son, Kevin and yours ends. But then I read more. You too had a planned Christmas December that kind of got unplanned by no fault of your own. My plans were derailed by a need to go help out a struggling private school. Alas yours was much more painful (hope your tailbone is healing nicely by now!). And then I read this post and am cracking up. I too have a son named Adam (coincidences abound) and instead of being the mom in the back seat musing during a 2 hour driving lesson, I'm the one conducting the 2 hr lesson as I teach drivers ed! Anyway, had to say hi and now I'm off to see if I can find any more similarities. LOL

You're so right, Diane, and you've articulated your view so well. The lines are clearly drawn and each side is strengthened in their convictions in this and many other issues by their core beliefs. It really is not negotiable!
The Christian view (or social conservatives, or religious right, or Moral Majority), informed by the Word of God has the clear advantage in the long run. But it is sad to see the liberals listening only to each other, and being duped by the "Big Lie" (and the "Big Liar").

Diane,
This is so well said and so true. I think you've put into words the very thoughts of true Christians and true Americans. How sad that our country is headed in the direction that it is. Your words are eloquent and so well thought.

Is it any wonder that this letter to the editor/editorial has been ignored by the local newspaper that I submitted it to almost a week ago now. It has been set aside, or deleted, I'm not sure which, in order to print Obama praise letters.

Well, I think we need to stand for liberty whenever we have opportunity to do so. At the same time we Christians must keep our equilibrium in this descent into end times. It's kind of like skiing - it's downhill all way, the terrain is constantly changing, and our sense of balance and security is challenged at every moment. But knowing the trail ahead of time and knowing where it ends makes it a lot less terrifying! Fortunately, we have a trail map and an Instructor along with us. Yeah, reread Revelation, and I know you read the Psalms daily, pick a favorite! Go ahead, let the Book fall open anywhere. God's promises of deliverance are all over it!
