Erik a Pilot, Technically
It has occurred to me just a minute ago that I am no longer in a position to document Erik’s life in photos. With him in Alabama at flight school, and me up here in not so sunny Maine, (I know, is the sun really germane to the discussion? bear with me…it’s gray outside today!) Anyway, I went to his Facebook account to find a photo to post here, and I found one. Yup, one. Ok, just kidding, he’s actually go a whopping six photos on that account. Three are of him…sort of. So, here is one:
It’s pretty indicative of his life…a self portrait.
Anyway, another one I like:
Don’t ask. I know his caption mentioned something about that out his windshield indeed being a cloud.
So, yesterday he posted on his status that “94 is a good score.” That begged a phone call from Dad which yielded the fact that Erik got a 94 on his “check ride” and so he is technically, if not officially, a pilot.
Woo Hoo!!! No, that doesn’t mean he’s done. Graduation isn’t until fall, but he might come home for a visit this summer between sessions.

Woo Hoo !!! That is exciting! Very cool photos! I hadn’t checked your site in a very long time (obviously!) but I’m glad to see this entry. I’m gonna call him a pilot when I brag about him, OK?

That’s great! I have great respect for pilots.
Not sure if you remember me….I was going through some of my old posts while transferring my blog from HSB over to blogger and remember how kind and helpful you were during my husband’s first deployment, so I wanted to stop by and say “hi”! Steve just returned from his 3rd deployment–this one a year in Afghanistan–and we are about to move again.
God bless! I still remember, “do the next thing” from you!
