“Team Aussie”, originally uploaded by Midcoast Mainah.
Here is a photo that Fran just sent to me this morning. I don’t know who the rest of the guys are. I don’t know which states they are from. I do know that they are all from Fran’s unit. Again, there are guys from Wisconsin, Arizona, Nevada and Maine in his unit over there.
The shirts are Australian Rugby shirts, but the game is Ultimate Frisbee!!

All of the guys are from Wisconsin. Just a little more info on the Ultimate games. We play at night under spotlights in a gravel lot. So, there is not a lot of diving. We use chem lights for boundaries and we usually play for about 2 hours. For some of us, it is the highlight of the week.

The shirts look great! It looks like they’re helping to really bring out that team spirit. Did they win?
I’ve never played Ultimate . . . only watched the kids play. But I did see the competitive spirit totally come out in a few older “kids” at National Convention . . . yikes!
But I don’t think I’ve seen any of them play in a gravel lot. It’s probably a good thing, too, since they may not have the reasoning capacity (when it comes to sports) to not dive and such when it’s necessary for a win.

So glad they have such a fun way to relax, relieve tension, and keep fit.
Looks like a “real team” there. Gravel sounds like and interesting turf. OUCH!!!
