    Hey Fran!!,

    Happy Belated Birthday.

Dianne Kelly just forwarded me this site….I think it is great.

Just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know everyone at EverGreen is thinking of you. We are anxiously waiting your return as I am sure you are as well.

    Stay safe!!

Hi Fran! Happy Birthday! What a cute kindergartner! Looks like some of your kids at that age! Got your postcard; thanks for the feedback about the helmet liner. I’ll pick up yarn tomorrow to make another one to fit you! Hope to get it done before you get really cold weather. Thanks for your prayers. Wendy is feeling better. Stay safe! Love, Aunt Laurie

    Hi Fran,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! This is the first time I’ve looked at your site, but I knew there was a reason to look today! Every time we drive past your house, morning, noon, or night, we say a prayer for you. The flag on the front porch and the yellow ribbon around the rail are good reminders to pray for all our troops. So, even though you haven’t heard from us before, know that we keep you covered… along with so many others.

May you be a blessing and be blessed,

    Meadow and all the Merrills

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! At least my wife put up a pic of me while I was still “Cute” and I am now a long way from cute.

In case you are wondering, I spent my bday cleaning out my tent area and writing notes. I did get a bag of pistachios from one of my crew. Overall a low key, relaxed, no obligation day. Well, I did have to go to fire extinguisher training in the morning. I just closed my eyes and made a wish as I put out the fire.

Happy Belated Birthday, Fran! It sounds like it was a nice day . . . especially that really special treat of putting out your “birthday fire” with an extinguisher!!! :-P When Mark turned 20 in Bahrain last year, he put a cigarette (which he bummed off some guy) upside down in his MRE dessert. He didn’t light it . . . that would’ve been gross . . . but he did take pictures for everyone back home. I guess you all have to be super creative with your celebrations when you’re in the military and deployed! :-)
