Today’s photo was taken while the unit was still in Bangor waiting for the plane to be fixed.

Today Fran’s email said that his monthly internet is going to cost $33. Oh my!! That’s more than we are paying here!!

Notice the clock I have added to the site? Now we can check in to know what time it is where he is! I have been meaning to set a clock here in the house the same way. We did that while he was in Belgium on business.

Next I should get a temperature thing for this page’s sidebar. Now that will really be impressive! It’s about 120F there now!

Thanks to everyone for your prayers………keep them coming!

Here is a note that Fran sent to Anna back in July:

Anna,
We got delayed in Bangor, plane had some problems. When I went to the gift store, there was this moose that said he knew you! Well, I told him that I was not going directly home, but to Kuwait (Iraq). He asked if he could come along and then come back with me when I see you? I said no problem. Attached is a picture of me and him.
I love you Sweety,
Dad

P.S. I will be sure to send you pics of me and Milford.

This is where Fran spends his off time. Here is what he wrote most recently.
“I would write about daily details, but it is pretty much the same everyday. Get up…..do PT……shower……..eat chow……..have
devotions…….go on shift………get off shift……..wander around
in the heat……..eat chow…….read………go to bed. Sometimes
I do watch a movie. In fact, last week, I caught up on ‘24′ Second
Season…..whoa! We are working 7 days a week. It regularly gets up
to about 130F. Sometimes peaks above 145F. Funny how you get used to it. I don’t mind it, it is better than the humidity at Shelby.”

He also mentioned that he is out of phone cards. He hopes, however, to have personal internet by about the 10th.
