TeenPact ME 2006 Hits Newstands!

TeenPact ME 2006 Hits Newstands!

A TeenPacter at Flickr did a cool thing with one of the State Class photos and shared it with some of us. It looked cool, and I thought it might be fun to try my hand at something similar. Flicker has all sorts of “toys” that you can use to “play” with your photos. So, I thought I would try it! Now, I realize that for many of you non-TeenPacters, the features stated on the front of this magazine will mean nothing to you. In anyone’s subculture, there are private jokes and understandings that are hidden to anyone on the outside. Still, I’m all about capturing memories and scrapbooking, and photos and writing etc. So, I thought I would share this here just because it is only the beginning of what you can do with your photos for events or occasions. Try it for invitations, or, well, anything! To see a larger version, so you can actually read the words on the “magazine” cover, click the title link under the photo. Oh, and really, there is no such magazine, its just a fake cover!!

did you teach eric all that he knows about computers? nice work!

    John,
I laughed when I read your comment! Glad you liked “my work!” Graphics are so cool! I must say, though, that what Erik knows has little to do with me. I will, however, take credit for him being interested in looking through the eye of a camera…and for his right-brained tendencies; “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, doncha know!”

I bought my first Canon A-E1 SLR in 1986, one year before Erik was born. I was still using it faithfully up until last August when I got his hand-me-down 2003 Olympus, when he replaced it with a Nikon Digital SLR (D70, I think.) While I edited 4 yearbooks in High School and college, and have scrapbooked over 1000 photo pages since, my interest and experience is no match for Erik’s playing with digital imagery and html since he bought his own computer in 1999 or 2000 sometime. He taught himself all that stuff…I’m clueless on the tech side!! Any of that stuff that I know, he taught me! It is Erik who introduced me to Flickr and later bought me a pro account for Christmas. Then it was Alex King, one of our 05/06 TP alumni who showed me a link to the flickr toys that enabled me to create the magazine cover!!
