Talk About Rain!!
Wow, does it just keep coming down, or what? Well, I guess were are making up for all of the snow that we didn’t have all winter. The last thing we want is a draught. I think the most significant snow this season may have been before the 1st of the year, if I remember right. Actually, only the weather man knows for sure!
Ok, there was an afternoon the other day of partly cloudy skies during which Micah mowed our whole yard. It was like a jungle when we pulled into the driveway last Saturday after our 10 day trip to Georgia and back. It must have rained quite a bit when we were gone as well!
We do get sunshine occasionally up here, really! I hear it was perfect over Memorial Day weekend. Good, I’m glad, ’cause it was pretty nice where we were too! Oh, right, we were inside most of the time in air conditioning. Well, anyway, I’m sure the sun will come out someday soon!
To think I had to talk to my oil company today to haggle out a deal for my heating oil purchase for next season. She kept reminding me how mild a winter we had and that I might want to add at least 100 gallons to my usage estimate for next year. Gee, I just went ahead and added 200 ’cause I didn’t want to end up going over and paying the going rate if I go over my estimate. Of course, that almost doubled my monthly payment plan amount.
Now that you have had a sampler of Maine Speak, maybe I’ll launch into something else besides the weather. On second thought, nah, I’ll save that for another day. Time to go shake out my umbrella.
