Where’s the Fire?
So why doesn’t my blog header have anything to do with a soft cozy looking fireplace, or a picture perfect house, or why even, isn’t it plain orange to at least hint at matching the fire concept? To tell you the truth, I don’t have a fireplace, so it seemed like it would be fake, I don’t live in a picture perfect house and don’t believe that really exists, and orange isn’t really my favorite color!
While surfing around for themes, I saw a coffee theme. The one I saw didn’t quite strike me, but the idea did. So, I asked my son to throw this one together for me. Then I thought maybe I should have called my blog “The Daily Grind!” after the title I had given to my general content category name. By then, however, I was attached to my current title and just didn’t want to part with it!
Then it occured to me that the whole reason I started this blog in the first place was because Fran is away getting ready to serve in Iraq. Red, white, blue, and gold are my favorite colors lately…why on earth didn’t I create a patriotic theme? It didn’t even occur to me….don’t even ask me why! By the time I thought of it, I was already attached to my coffee artwork.
I get attached to things easily, and I don’t want to let them go! I thought that maybe I should just do two blogs so that I could match “home fires” with a patriotic theme, and coffee theme with a “daily grind” title. Well, I knew that was ridiculous! How many folks even keep up one blog much less two? This one will be enough of a challenge!
Well, there you have it. What it all boils down to is this……..I like coffee; it helps me keep all my plates in the air! I like my title ’cause it says what I am going to try to do with all my heart for the next 14 months that Fran is away.
